Alexandra Uccusic was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1969. She finished her studies as an architect at the Technical University of Vienna in 1997. From 1992 to 1993 she studied sculpture with Michelangelo Pistoletto at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna.
She illustrated the books “Shamanic Stories from Tuva” and “Schamanic Songs from Tuva” (2011, 2013). Her first children’s book “Florian Featherlight and the Quest for the Magic Pearl” was published in 2015.
Besides her work as an artist Alexandra Uccusic is also active in the protection of species. Saving toads on their wanderings from being killed by cars and creating a habitat for sand lizards in the garden are two focal points.
